Springfield Concrete Company was founded in 2025 by a crew of tradespeople who grew up in Clark County and had spent years watching contractors come through Springfield, do quick work, and leave homeowners with problems a few winters later. They knew the city - the older neighborhoods near downtown with homes dating back to the early 1900s, the mid-century ranches on the south side, the clay-heavy soil that shifts every season. They decided to build a company that actually accounted for all of it.
Springfield gets real winters. Temperatures swing above and below freezing dozens of times between November and March, and that constant back-and-forth is hard on concrete. It cracks driveways, heaves sidewalks, and opens up gaps in anything that holds moisture. A lot of the homes here were built before 1960 and still have their original flatwork. We know those conditions and we build accordingly - using the right mix, taking the time on base prep, and sealing work that needs to survive Ohio weather for decades.
We work across Springfield and the surrounding communities - from Snyder Park neighborhoods to the streets around Wittenberg University to the newer subdivisions on the west side. We're not a large regional outfit. We're a local crew that knows this city and is invested in doing good work here.
Scheduling a contractor and having them disappear is a real frustration. We give you a real start date and stick to it - your time matters as much as ours.
Concrete that fails early almost always traces back to rushed prep underneath. We take the time to compact and grade properly, because that's what makes the difference between a driveway that lasts 10 years and one that lasts 30.
Springfield requires permits for most concrete work, and a job done without one can cause real headaches when you sell. We pull every permit, handle inspections, and make sure the work is on record.
Concrete work can seem straightforward from the outside, but there are real decisions being made at every step. We walk you through the process in plain language so you know what you're getting.
Ohio contractor license covering concrete, flatwork, and foundation work. Required by the Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board (OCILB) for all commercial and residential concrete projects.
Full general liability insurance on every job. If anything goes wrong on your property during the project, you are protected. We can provide proof of insurance before work begins.
Founded right here in Clark County. We know Springfield's soil conditions, permit requirements, and the kinds of homes that make up this city's neighborhoods.
